Notching a feature win in the 2021 POWRi MKLS Summer Shoot-Out Night One event at Norman County Fairground would see the seventeen-year-old driver secure his eighth career wins to lead the overall Southwest Lightning Sprint series while also moving Grant into the tenth spot on the POWRi all-time career win count.

Consistency would be the key to Grant Sexton’s championship success in 2021 as the title chase would find a new face in the Lucas Oil Southwest Lightning Sprints quickly establish his racing career with Sexton earning the honors by a mere one-hundred-twenty-two point advantage over series Rookie of the Year Braden Chiaramonte.
