I-44 Riverside Speedway Serves September Showdowns
The Lucas Oil POWRi West Midgets will race on Saturday, September 20th for a guaranteed $1,000 to win and $100 to start purse. Over 20 midgets were confirmed to be traveling to Riverside Saturday and POWRi West promoter Eric Fenton noted that the weekend of the 20th are bye weeks for most regional open wheel series. POWRi Micros Rescheduled, Midgets and Micros to Both End the 2014 Season at Jacksonville Speedway
MILLSTADT, IL (September 16, 2014) – After getting rained out at the Jacksonville, IL track on September 12th, the POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micros will now run in conjunction with the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midgets at the Jacksonville Speedway on October 11th. The Saturday night race will be the 2014 season finale for both series.

Daum Tames Spoon River, Extends Points Lead
Canton, IL. – Zach Daum of Pocahontas, Illinois led the final seven laps, after clawing his way through the field in his Toyota-powered Eagle from the 8th place starting position to claim his third POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series win of 2014 at the 3/8 mile Spoon River Speedway for the 30th Annual Tom Knowles Memorial.

Belle-Clair Meents Memorial 9/7/14
POWRi to Visit Belle-Clair Speedway for the Final Time of the 2014 Season at the Charlene Meents Memorial POWRi is scheduled to visit Belle-Clair Speedway on Sunday, September 7th for the 10th Annual Charlene Meents Memorial. This will be POWRi’s last visit to the Belleville, IL track this year. Since its inception in 2005, the Charlene Meents Memorial is an event that both fans and drivers look forward to all season. Recent past winners of the Charlene Meents Memorial include Zach Daum in 2013, Austin Brown in 2012, and Brett Anderson in 2011.

Macon Speedway Saturday 9/6
MILLSTADT, IL (September 6, 2014) - POWRi is scheduled to visit Macon Speedway in Macon, IL for the final time of the 2014 season on Saturday, September 6th. After efforts to run double features were thwarted by rain on two separate occasions, both the midgets and micros will run their April 26th make-up feature events in addition to a full regular show on Saturday night. For drivers who make it into both feature events, the double features will be a test of endurance as Macon Speedway is traditionally elbows up all night.

The Jason Leffler Memorial is one of the largest purses for a POWRI Lucas Oil National Midget Series race with a $10,000 payout to the winner. 100% of the front entrance is committed to the Charlie Dean Leffler Discretionary Fund.

Second Annual Jason Leffler Memorial Race to Take Place at Wayne County Speedway on August 26th
Wayne County Speedway is pleased to announce the second annual Jason Leffler Memorial race sponsored by Great Clips on Tuesday, August 26th at 7 PM. The event is one of the largest purses for a POWRI midget race with a $10,000 payout to the winner. 100% of the front entrance will go to the Charlie Dean Leffler Discretionary Fund. Among a host of notable racers, current World of Outlaws champion Daryn Pittman and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver, JJ Yeley, have committed to compete in the event. BELL DOMINATES ANGELL PARK FOR “CORNFEST” WIN
Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.……Christopher Bell picked up where he left off at Angell Park Speedway, backing up a weekend sweep in July with the flag-to-flag win in Sunday night’s “CornFest” 30-lapper. It was Bell’s fifth Honda National Midget win of the year in a race that was co-sanctioned by both POWRi and BMARA. It was Bell’s 14th career USAC win, tying him for 45th all-time.

Angell Park Speedway Set to Host Fan-Favorite Miller Lite Cornfest
MILLSTADT, IL (July 30, 2014) - Angell Park Speedway is set host the fan-favorite Miller Lite Cornfest on Sunday, August 17th. The Miller Lite sponsored event will take place in conjunction with the annual Sweet Corn Festival hosted by the Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce. The Sweet Corn Festival will commence on Thursday, August 14th and festival-goers will have the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of activities and entertainment throughout the weekend. The Western arm of Performance Open Wheel Racing, Inc. invaded Oklahoma City’s for the seventh time this season to stage their 12th overall affair.
Sixteen teams checked into I-44 Riverside pits, but only one emerged as the first three time POWRi West winner. Broken Arrow, Oklahoma’s Alex Sewell earned the pole position via a sensational heat race win from the final row and was joined on the front row of the 25 lap main event by Guthrie, Oklahoma’s Michelle Decker, herself the second highest racer in passing points after a savvy last lap, last turn move from 4th to 2nd in the second heat race.
