POWRi Season-Ending Banquet Saturday Feb. 6th 2016
2015 POWRi Season-Ending Banquet will be held on Saturday, February 6th 2016 at Andre’s Banquet Facility in St. Louis, MO. The event opens at 7:30pm with an open bar, dinner at 8:00pm, and awards at 9:00pm. Full Story
2016 POWRi/ILLINI Division II Midget Series Schedule
Millstadt, IL – The 2016 POWRi/ILLINI Lucas Oil Division II Midget Series Schedule has been released. With 29 events on tap for the inaugural season under the POWRi Racing banner, the series known as the ILLINI Racing Series has joined forces with POWRi in their 25th year of operation. The POWRi/ILLINI Lucas Oil Division II Midget Series has been created to help sustain a budget-minded racing series across the Midwest. “This is a great opportunity to celebrate our 25 years of racing by combining forces with POWRi,” said LaVerne Spencer, President of the ILLINI Racing Series. “I am looking forward to the excitement and energy we have in store for the drivers and race teams with our new rule package.”

2016 POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Series Schedule Released
Millstadt, IL – The POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Series schedule has been released, featuring 29 events on the docket list for 2016. Starting out for the season opener on Friday, April 22nd at Jacksonville Speedway and ending on Saturday, October 1st at Belle-Clair Speedway for the Charlene Meents Memorial, the 2016 season contains plenty of action.

POWRi West Schedule Released, Featuring Over 30 Events for 2016
Millstadt, IL – After a fantastic 2015 season, the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget Series has 31 races scheduled, starting out the 2016 season with a double header at Red River Speedway in Wichita Falls, Texas on Friday, March 5th and Saturday, March 6th for the Red River Roundup. The season will come full circle, concluding on October 29th at Red River Speedway.

POWRi Division II Midget Specifications Released
Millstadt, IL –After the inaugural POWRi Division II midget race held on October 9th at Jacksonville Speedway, in addition to meeting with drivers and teams, POWRi officials have developed the following specification package design for the 2016 season. These specifications will be formatted into a complete rules package similar to the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series and POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Series. At this time, the POWRi Division II Midget Series 2016 schedule is being finalized and will be released in addition to the National Midget, West Midget, and Micro schedules in January 2016. The 2016 specifications for all POWRi Division II Midget Series are released below.

Shebester Shines In Season Finale
Tulsa, OK| November 8, 2015; 34 drivers made the call on a cold Saturday for the final points race of the 2015 season for the Lucas Oil POWRi West Midget Series presented by Total Comm. Despite the cooler temps fans still flocked to Boyd Raceway and they were treated to a solid night of action packed racing. Four eight lap heat races would be won by Grady Chandler, Dustin Morgan, Tyson Hall, & Kyle Jones with 2 B- Features would be won by Zane Lawrence and Ty Hulsey.

Clauson Holds off Abreu to Become Third Annual Leffler Memorial Champion
Wayne City, IL – In what was a battle right down to the last lap, Bryan Clauson of Noblesville, Indiana deflected multiple challenges from a hard-charging Rico Abreu on his way to becoming the Third Annual Jason Leffler Memorial winner at Wayne County Speedway, his second POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series victory of 2015.

Star-Studded Leffler Memorial Entry List Continues to Grow
Millstadt, IL – The pre-entry list for the Third Annual Jason Leffler Memorial sponsored by Great Clips continues to grow as the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series quickly approaches the highest paying midget event of the year. Set for Friday, October 23rd at Wayne County Speedway in Wayne City, Illinois the Jason Leffler Memorial is expected to produce one of the most memorable races of the 2015 season. Drivers from all across the United States are entered to chase the $20,000 to WIN event in honor of the late NASCAR and open wheel driver, Jason Leffler, with front gate proceeds benefiting Leffler’s son, Charlie Dean. The list of drivers is headed up by none-other-than inaugural Jason Leffler Memorial winner, Zach Daum.

Millstadt, IL – Pre-registration is officially open for the POWRi/USAC sanctioned Third Annual Jason Leffler Memorial scheduled for Friday, October 23rd. Hosting the highest paying midget purse across the country, the Leffler Memorial is guaranteed $20,000 TO WIN, $750 to start. Driver pre-registration is located directly on the main page of www.racewaynecounty.com. The entry fee of $100, which includes the driver’s pit pass, is not due until the day of the event. However, by pre-registering you will qualify for a $250 bonus drawing on the day of the event.

Bayston and Miller Take Shaheen’s Super Weekend Victories
Jacksonville, IL – In an action-packed POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series feature event, Spencer Bayston of Lebanon, Indiana came out on top after a thrilling battle with Zach Daum and Andrew Felker, proving yet again that Jacksonville Speedway never disappoints. The second night of the Shaheen’s Super Weekend was Bayston’s third career POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series win. Joe B. Miller of Millersville, Missouri kept multiple car lengths in between himself and second place finisher Aaron Andruskevitch after taking the early lead. Withstanding two yellows and one red flag in route to his 17th career POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Series victory, Miller tied back up the second slot on the all-time win list with Nathan Benson.

Thorson Takes Night One of Shaheen’s Super Weekend, Weyant WINS First POWRi DII Midget Event
Jacksonville, IL – Taking the action-packed opening night of the Shaheen’s Super Weekend at the ¼ mile Jacksonville Speedway, Tanner Thorson claimed his third POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series victory of 2015. Korey Weyant of Springfield, Illinois won the first ever POWRi Lucas Oil D II-sanctioned midget race.

Daum and Benson WIN at Macon, Benson Goes Three in a Row for Micro Championships
Macon, IL – Zach Daum of Pocahontas, Illinois earned his 12th career POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series victory at Macon Speedway, while Nathan Benson earned a hard-fought 17th career win, moving into the second slot for the POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Series all-time feature win list, and sealing his third championship in a row.

Wayne County Speedway 10/11 Cornhusker Nationals Postponed
Millstadt, IL – The POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Series Cornhusker Nationals event at Wayne County Speedway has been postponed until 2016. Originally scheduled for Sunday, October 11th, the track is still undergoing renovations and won’t be completed in time for Cornhusker Nationals.
