About Tj Muths

TJ Muths is a second generation driver. He started racing when he was six years of age, driving go-karts. After winning three track championships, TJ moved up to junior sprints. While having a great deal of success and track championships he continued to move up the racing ladder into micro midgets. At just 10 years of age TJ started racing 600cc micro midgets winged and non-wing. While having great success once again, TJ won track championships and bean to travel some on open weekends. His last season saw many wins as he traveled in Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Illinois. At sixteen, TJ turned to full sized sprints. Running 360 winged and only a limited schedule due to being an full time honor student, four year varsity football player and working part time. He has continued to gain important knowledge and seat time all while running in the top ten in track points and top fifteen in regional points. At just twenty-one years old, TJ is continuing to race full size sprints, working full time as an iron worker and married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Jessica Muths. TJ now owns and operates his own racing team, TJ Muths Racing. He enjoys not only driving but is also responsible for all set up and decisions on his cars. TJ has been driving local engine builder Scott Greer Engines since racing sprint cars and looks to him for most mechanical advice. In 2016 TJ put all of his focus on running for rookie of the year in the WAR series. As the season started off he was in second in series points, all to have it taken away by three vicious wrecks. TJ suffered a concussion which sidelined him for two weeks. Once released he has been right back at it and charging hard to finish this season strong. He has gained a lot of knowledge throughout this season with many top fives and top tens. Once the season is over, TJ has high hopes of rebuilding an even bigger and better racing team. He plans on running full time schedules with ASCS and WAR. TJ Muths Racing is looking forward to a very successful 2017!
