Schudy Shines in POWRi Valley Showdown

Schudy Shines in POWRi Valley Showdown

Grain Valley: Pat Schudy returned to victory lane Friday night in POWRi Valley Outlaw Midget action leading from start to finish in the feature event. For the veteran driver who will be 60 years old in September, it was his first win in the series since 2014 when he won the championship.

His 7s Machine was fast all night for the Springfield, Mo. ace as he earned the pole position for the 20 lapper by scoring the most passing points in his heat. Schudy credited his chief mechanic Jeff Scroggins, and his new sponsor John Moody of JM Construction among others for the win.

A.J. Gilbert of Tonganoxie would finish second in both his heat and the feature for another great result. While Brad Wyatt would come home in third. With Heat winner Dustin Gilbert, and Rookie Heath Murry rounding out the the top 5.

The POWRi Valley Midgets will return to action next Friday night in Grain Valley in a battle of POWRi Valley, National, and West clubs. While the POWRi Sprint Cars will also be on the card for an event you will not want to miss.
