Drivers Prep for 2020 POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League Championship Chase

Belleville, IL (3/11/2020) Continuing to honor our outstanding competitors that regularly put on classic showings within the POWRi Lucas Oil War Sprint League. Our next entrants not only placed inside the middle of the Top Ten in the overall points standings but made some personal history along the way.

Running the familiar fan-favorite Dave Kahn racing, DDI Fabrication, AFD Graphics, Helt’s Top Soil, Randy Davidson Trucking, Weber-Wautoma, Nathan Benson Motorsports, Sales Midwest, TUHB, Ozark Barge and Dock, Valor Racing, Henges Installations and Flooring #22s out of Cactus Flats, Missouri, Slater Helt. Slater would flex his driving might rounding out the top five in points with the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint Car League 2019 Points Championship. Helt would battle his way through sixteen features ending with five top 10’s finishes. With his best showing of the year coming at Lucas Oil Speedway, Helt had a remarkable run with a heat race victory and an eventual fourth-place finish. Slater Helt, in the 2020 season, plans to broaden his driving experiences by running some wing-sprint races as well as continuing to be a staple among the front runners with the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League.

Capturing his first-ever POWRi WAR sanctioned series feature win at Lake Ozark Speedway, Jack Wagner, from Lone Jack, Missouri, continues to turn heads for his positive results the track. Driving the historic Jesse Hockett Racing, WBR 410, Maxim Chassis, Bennett County Tire, Wag-Co Construction, Impact Signs Awnings and Wraps, Nathan Benson Motorsports, Wagner Brothers Racing, KC Platinum Contracting, Rod End Supply #77. Jack ended the year placing sixth in the 2019 POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League Points Championship. The elder Wagner competitor would start in fourteen features, gathering two Top-5’s and seven Top-10’s, with four heat race wins to boot. For the 2020 season, Jack Wagner has lit a fire within the JHR team as he strives for the Championship in 2020 with the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League.

In 2019, the famed Knoxville Raceway would see the youngest driver ever take to the track in a traditional sprint car, when high-schooler Braydon Cromwell, from Lone Jack, Missouri, competed in the Inaugural Corn Belt Nationals. Wheeling his Kissler 410, Maxim Chassis, Acker Trucking, Octane Visual, Design Source Flooring, Ron’s Towing, Oak Grove Taxidermy, Alliance Race-wear, Donnell’s Motorcycles, Stonebridge Gun-Works, King Racing, Spicer Race Craft #4 to the 2019 Missouri State Fair Non-Wing Feature victory. Finishing seventh in last season’s WAR Point’s Championship, “Cowboy” Cromwell continues to climb through the ranks of the open-wheel, hoping for more celebrations in 2020. Trying to broaden his horizons Braydon plans to compete whenever possible as well as challenging for the 2020 Championship with the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League.
