MURRY SCORES FIRST-CAREER MLS WIN AT I-35

WINSTON, MO. (July 20, 2019) – Advancing to the front and surviving several late-race restarts including a green-white-checkered finish, Tyler Murry of Dover, Mo. was the victor on Saturday night at I-35 Speedway as he nabbed his first-career POWRi Lucas Oil Midwest Lightning Sprint League win.

Outgunning Mike Tindell into turn one, JP Falke of Odessa, Mo. took the early lead of the main event. A caution on lap three quickly restacked the field and saw Murry present a challenge to Falke for the race lead.

As Murry slowly snuck away, Bobby Layne managed to get by Falke and moved into the second spot. The third and final caution of the evening set up a green-white-checkered finish with the win on the line.

In the end, Tyler Murry of Dover, Mo. fought off every obstacle and stoppage thrown his way, as he held on to score his first-career POWRi Lucas Oil Midwest Lightning Sprint League victory.

Bobby Layne came home in second, Kyle Lewis advanced to third, JP Falke ended up fourth, and Jeff Bard rounded out the top five in fifth.
