Kameron Chamness Claims Checkers in Jr Knepper with POWRi Wing Outlaw Micros

Du Quoin, IL. (12/20/25) Kameron Chamness would use patience and precision to earn his first career feature win inside the Southern Illinois Center at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds, with the POWRi Wing Outlaw Micro League, after leading the final six laps of the feature event.

Kicking off the night with twenty-eight talented entries in the POWRi Wing Outlaw Micros competitors, Daryn Stark started the action off with quick-time in hot laps of 9.317-second lap as Josh Marcham, Todd Kirkman, Case Piper, and Kole Kirkman would notch the heat racing wins with Brylee Kilmer taking the semi-feature victory.

Opening the feature field would find the high-point qualifier Kyle Spence and Kole Kirkman, leading the field as the green flag flew with Kyle Spence gaining the initial advantage on the opening lap.

Keeping the top spot secured for fifteen laps, Kyle Spence would appear to be on his way to a victory lane visit until a hectic final ten laps would witness Kole Kirkman overtake for the lead for four laps as a late-race caution bunched the field back together.

Thrilling the packed crowd inside the Southern Illinois Center, Kameron Chamness would shine late to drive into the preferred position with only six laps remaining and holding first as the checkers waved. Kole Kirkman would hold on to place a tightly contested runner-up as Jordan Clary would contend for the lead late to settle in the final podium placement.

Staying close in the closing laps, hard-charger Graham Huffman would hustle past thirteen drivers to finish fourth with Daryn Stark, from starting eleventh, rounding out the POWRi Wing Outlaw Micro League top five finishers inside the Southern Illinois Center.
