Thomas Meseraull Takes Macon SPEEDWeek Night Three Win with POWRi National Midgets

Thomas Meseraull Takes Macon SPEEDWeek Night Three Win with POWRi National Midgets

Belleville, IL. (6/24/23) Thomas Meseraull would ride the high line of Macon Speedway to perfection in capturing his sixth career victory with the POWRi National Midget League feature event in Night Three of the Eleventh Annual POWRi Illinois SPEEDWeek in an instant classic for the ages.

Early on-track competition with twenty-nine entries in the POWRi National Midget League would see Thomas Meseraull start the action off with a quick hot-lap time of 10.784-second lap as Cannon McIntosh, Steven Snyder Jr, Daniel Adler, and Thomas Meseraull each would earn heat racing wins as well as Karter Sarff earning the semi-feature race.

Setting the main event field would find high-point qualifier Thomas Meseraull and front-row counterpart Gavin Miller each competing for positions as the green flag flew with Meseraull gaining the slight advantage on the opening lap over Gavin Miller as the top pair would separate themselves from Jade Avedisian, Daniel Adler, and Steven Snyder Jr that was all racing inside the top five.

With Meseraull pacing the field out front for most of the feature the final ten laps would be well worth the price of admission as Cannon McIntosh started to reel in the leading pack with caution flags keeping the field bunched together in the tight-quartered corners.

Allowing the chose cone to come into play, Cannon McIntosh would overtake Thomas Meseraull for the prized position using a daring maneuver off the double-file restart. While leading for five laps, McIntosh would fend off a flurry of overtaking attempts yet Meseraull would find the winning maneuver as the laps started to wane.

Holding the first place spot after the final restart, Thomas Meseraull would clinch his sixth career POWRi National Midget League feature victory after leading twenty-five of the thirty revolutions around a finely tuned Macon Speedway.

“When the track is this good and it’s up on the top, it’s going to be a slide-or-die kind of night, the restart I thought Cannon jumped me on the first one so after he got by me it was hold on afterward.” said an elated Thomas Meseraull in the Macon Illinois victory lane ceremony.

Leading late while also staying in the mix to win, Cannon McIntosh would place a solid second as Brody Wake would round out the podium placements. Hunting for the front would witness Jade Avedisian finish fourth as Andrew Felker would round out the POWRi National Midget League top-five finishers at Macon Speedway to hit the mid-point of the Eleventh Annual POWRi Illinois SPEEDWeek.
