Jamie would be hurt on June 30, 2012 on Twin Feature night at Knoxville Raceway. A crash would occur on the backstretch/turn 3 that would cause serious damage to Jamie's body. Another car collided with his car breaking into the cockpit. The wreck would shatter Jamie's arm as well as has multiple stab wounds into Jamie's rib cage, collar bone and back. He would be life flighted and not race for 10 months until April 2013.
