Driver Profile

Tom started racing at age 18 in 1984. After running Hobby Stocks for 3 years, Tom moved up to Late Models running at tracks in Illinois and Wisconsin. In 1993, Tom constructed his first Lightning Sprint to race at Wilmot, Wisconsin with the Wisconsin/Illinois Mini Sprint group. After taking the 2009 Wisconsin/Illinois Mini Sprint and Wilmot Raceway Championships, Tom moved to Lincoln, Nebraska taking a position as design engineer with Speedway Motors. In 2015, Tom was crowned the Midwest Lightning Sprint Point Champion after winning 5 of 14 races with the Kansas City based series. Tom also won the final Illinois Lightning Sprint Series race at the Peoria, Illinois Speedway in October bringing the 2015 season total to 6 wins in 16 races. In 2017, Tom won 9 races with the USAC Midwest Lightning Sprints on his way to the 2017 MLS Championship as well as finishing 6th in USAC National Lightning Sprints points.
