Mackston Leopard, known as 'Mack' by his friends and family, began his racing career at 9 years old at Ohio's Kil-Kare Raceway.
Starting off in the quarter-midget ranks, Leopard became a regular fixture at tracks around the region, even going so far as to compete in five different divisions on the same day.
His time in quarter midgets resulted in a pair of championships in the Midwest Thunder Racing Series, where he claimed titles in the Senior Honda and Light 160 classes.
In 2023 Leopard signed with CB Industries, the powerhouse open-wheel team owned by Chad Boat, and began racing Micros across the United States. He scored three wins in 2023 at North Carolina's Millbridge Speedway and Indiana's US 24 Speedway.
He backed that up in 2024 with several huge wins, including a $5,000 win during the Tom Rieck Memorial at Illinois' Cole County Speedway.
The 2025 season was all about building upon and expanding Leopard's experience. He secured his first midget victory with the MARA Midget Series, part of a weekend sweep at Jacksonville Speedway and Spoon River Speedway. Leopard raced all over the country, gaining experience under the guidance of two different car owners, Chase McDermand and Chad Boat.
In January 2026, Mack made history at the Chili Bowl Nationals when he set three different records. They included winning the most features during championship Saturday (four), passing the most cars during his alphabet soup run (73) and tying the record for most features competed in on championship Saturday (nine).
Leopard was also awarded the Christopher's Outstanding Performance Award in memory of Big Al, which included more than $3,000 in fan-donated prize money.
