Rick tries to make it four ASCS Southwest title in a row in 2011 after taking the three previous crowns by narrow margins of 22 (2008), 7 (2009) and 26 points (2010). Rick rallied from a slow start in 2008 to take the title on the strength of eleven consecutive top-four finishes, added the second title by a mere seven-point margin and then posted three of his five Southwest wins during last year’s championship drive.
Rick’s pair of ASCS Southwest championships have simply added to a lengthy list of titles that already included El Paso Speedway Park (1995), New Mexico ASCS (1996), Southern New Mexico Speedway (1996, 1999), Border Bandit (1999), USAC Southwest (2003) and USA Raceway (2006 and 2007).

Rick also topped the 2009 ASCS Wing/Non-Wing Challenge among the ASCS Canyon and ASCS Southwest Regions and has won the McCluskey Classic at Tucson’s USA Raceway each of the past two years.
