Alan has been racing at Knoxville for over two decades now. The son of former Knoxville competitor, Adrian Zoutte, never raced in any form of motorsports before he bought his first sprint car in 1998. Alan made his first feature in 2001. He missed 10 weeks in 2002 with a broken back, but bounced back after being cleared to drive again.
Motor problems have sidelined him at times, but Alan had a strong year in 2012 in terms of the point standings (14th). Unfortunately, motor ills kept him out of point contention in some of the last few seasons, but he returned again in 2015 and registered another 14th place standing. His best effort in points came with an 11th in the 2016 season.
