Belleville, IL. (12/10/2021) Ready to resume racing for the 2022 season, the Lucas Oil POWRi Vado Super Sprints schedule for the state-of-the-art Vado Speedway Park in Vado, NM has been finalized with marquee events spanning from March until November.
Offering competitors thirteen Saturday Night events throughout the season beginning with the Military Appreciation Season Opener on March 6th. Continuing forms of racing on a monthly flex-scheduling, the POWRi Vado Super Sprints will then witness racing to celebrate Easter on April 16th followed by several events of the returning “Hot City Nights” promotion where residents of area cities and towns will be admitted into the facility for just $5 on their chosen night. The trendy Meet the Drivers Nights will return on July 23rd, where fans can go onto the front stretch and meet their favorite drivers at intermission as the ever-popular First Responders Appreciation Night returns on September 17th.
Closing out the season in style with Vado Speedway Park’s Turkey Bowl, which was held on Thanksgiving weekend in both 2019 and 2021, will get a new name and a new weekend as fans will see the Zia Sprint Car Classic held on Friday, November 4th and Saturday, November 5th with a practice date arranged before the racing action on Thursday, November 3rd. Featuring the POWRi Vado Super Sprints as well as the Lucas Oil POWRi New Mexico Motor Racing Association Non-Winged Sprint Cars highlighting the weekend, with Legends and the 3rd annual Stock Car Super Truck Challenge also included on the weekend docket of speed.
