Belleville, IL. (8/17/2021) Returning to the Aztec Speedway since the track grand re-opening in June, the POWRi Desert Wing Series will once again tackle the smooth surfaces of the Aztec New Mexico venue for wing-to-wing battles for a two-day stay on August 20-21.
Previous events would find Sammy Swindell winning the first series event with Eric Wilkins earning the second feature event victory, both at the picturesque Vado Speedway Park. Then, in June at Aztec, the series would witness Rick Ziehl and Colten Hardy earn racing wins as Josh Grady maintains an overall series points championship lead heading into the next racing weekend.
Aztec Speedway will welcome top sprinters from all over the area as they try to find speed throughout the weekend of racing. Classes scheduled to compete August 20-21 at Aztec Speedway include the POWRi Desert Wing Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Northern Sport Mods, Sport Compacts, and Youth Sport Compacts.

Grandstands Open – 6 PM
Drivers Registration – 4:30-6:30 PM
Engine Heat – 7:00 PM
Hot Laps – 7:30 PM, Racing to Follow.
