Belleville, IL. (8/16/2021) Battling weather forecasts over the previous weekend, POWRi Super Stock tracks around the region would see many drivers seeking new opportunities at different venues in hopes of gaining as many points as possible as the season championship ramps up in excitement. With great side-by-side racing in all but two of the scheduled events, drivers would prove their merit by using solid performances to gain traction in the latter stages of the season. Tony Anglin again resides atop the season standings after outstanding runs in Arkansas and Missouri as Ted Welschmeyer remains close only ten points behind the points leader. Who will be able to capture the title with many other drivers gaining ground in the year-long standings?
Using a pair of podium finishes over the weekend, Ted Welschmeyer has overtaken Tony Anglin for the National Championship lead by a mere ten points. Will Welschmeyer continue to lead as the season winds down or will Anglin recover to rest atop the leaderboards?
