Belleville, IL. (8/7/2021) Competition in a rare-lone event weekend at Devils Lake Speedway for the Lucas Oil Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints would not disappoint in outstanding on-track action with Jason Berg notching his first career sanctioned feature win within POWRi MKLS feature racing.
Early on-track battles would find Weston Olson pick up the heat racing victory and earn a pole-starting position for the feature event. Pacing the field to the initial start would see Olson taking off with the lead as drivers all vied for positioning.
Late-race dramatics would find Olson suffering mechanical issues striking him from the feature as Jason Berg would take over the front of the field. Berg would hold off all challenges to earn the first series win of his career. Kate Taves would grab the hard-charger award earning the runner-up finishing position as Wesley Van Drunen rounded out the podium finishers for the POWRi MKLS at Devils Lake Speedway.
