Belleville, IL. (05/26/2021) Lucas Oil POWRi West Midget League is getting ready to attend the two-day show at Airport Raceway in Garden City, Kansas. This weekend is the 6th Annual Midget Roundup, Saturday May 29th and Sunday May 30th.
The last time the POWRi West Midget League attended the track in 2020, it produced two different winners. Cannon McIntosh took the win on Saturday’s portion of the show and Trey Gropp took Sunday’s show. The Lucas Oil POWRI National and West Midgets League will be split this weekend and racing at separate tracks. Teams and drivers will make the decision to divide and pick where to participate for the weekend.
Lucas Oil POWRi West points are currently being led by New Berlin, IL Native, Jake Neuman. Trey Gropp, who is the reigning 2020 Rookie of the Year sits in second, and the young gun, Emerson Axsom sits in third. Emilio Hoover sits in fourth, back 240 points from the leader, Neuman. The most recent winner with the POWRi West League, Kyle Jones sits in fifth overall.
