Belleville, IL. (04/20/2021) Las Cruces Hot City Race Nights would turn out to be a windy one at the picturesque Vado Speedway Park, in Vado, New Mexico, however, the action on the track could take your breath away for the Lucas Oil POWRi Vado Super Sprints throughout the evening as first-time winner Jett Carney would find his way into victory lane.
A pair of young up-and-coming talents, Jett Carney and Daniel Blaeser, would bring the field of twenty-three POWRi Vado Super-305-Winged Sprint Cars to the initial green for their twenty-five-lap main event. With Carney able to assume control at the start, Jett would not be denied for the duration of the event, holding off all challengers in-route to claiming his first career Lucas Oil POWRi Vado Super Sprint feature win at the Vado Speedway Park.
With Jett out front showing the way wire-to-wire, Royal Jones, Rick Ziehl, and Derek DeMartino put on a thrilling show for the runner up spot lap after lap without touching. Ziehl was able to get the best of a late-race green-white-checkered finish to cross the line with a runner-up finish ahead of Jones, DeMartino and the eleventh place-starting Wes Wofford rounding out the top-five placements for the POWRi Vado Super Sprints.

The Lucas Oil POWRi Vado Speedway Park 305 Sprints will be back in action on Saturday, May 1st at 7:30 PM for the Anthony/Chaparral Night at the Races. Classes scheduled to compete include the POWRi Super Sprints, USRA B-Mods, Late Models, USRA Stock Cars, and Claimers. Pits open at 4 PM with the grandstand opening at 5 PM.
