A Fleet of Keith Kunz Motorsports Drivers Headed to Gold Crown Nationals

Belleville, Il. (09/28/2020) We’ve seen it time and time again, the talented and gifted individuals the Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports team brings to showcase and develop. Friday and Saturday, October 2&3 the KKM team will bring a seven-car team to the action-packed two-day show. Four of which will be the normal drivers slated on the KKM schedule, and three youngsters who are ready to square up against the veterans and experienced competitors of the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League.

The last time the “Gold Crown Midget Nationals” made its appearance at the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, IL. was in 2016. Dating back to 2012, the Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports team has won every event from 2012-2016 with the exception of a rainout in 2014. Kyle Larson won in 2012, Christopher Bell in 2013 and, after a rainout in 2014, Thorson was able to return the team to victory in 2015 and 2016. KKM drivers and team are trying to keep the streak alive.

The 2020 class of superstar hopefuls for the KKM team, includes the likes of Cannon McIntosh, Daison Pursley, Kaylee Bryson, Michael “Buddy” Kofoid, Bryant Wiedeman, Jesse Love, and Brenham Crouch. All seven drivers race for a respected and strong organization. No matter which way you look or how deep you dig, there is no denying the potential that lies within this group.

McIntosh of Bixby, Oklahoma has already proven himself as a legitimate threat night-in and night-out with the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League in 2020. Behind the wheel of the Keith Kunz Motorsports, Bullet/Toyota No. 71K, McIntosh has two wins, nine top five, and ten top ten finishes on the season, those to which are only on the POWRi National Midget side. He found victory back in his family owned car for some of the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget races also. McIntosh is looking to add another POWRi victory to his belt

A California native, but hailing from Penngrove, Michael “Buddy” Kofoid has too emerged as a consistent challenger with the National Midgets in his debut season with KKM. The pilot of the Keith Kunz Motorsports, Mobile 1, Bullet/Toyota No. 67, has conquered six wins, nine top five, and nine top ten finishes. Kofoid will encounter a new track for this year’s 2020 Gold Crown Nationals.

A fellow California native, but hailing from Redwood City, Jesse Love is still relatively new to the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League. With only a handful of starts under his belt and his best finish resulting in an 11th place at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex this year. Driving the Keith Kunz Motorsports, JBL Audio, Bullet/Toyota No. 97K, Love will enter his first Gold Crown Nationals.

Daison Pursley of Locust Grove, Oklahoma. A 15-year old graduate of the micro sprint ranks, Pursley has already nabbed a pair of career-best third place finishes this race season. Knocking on the door for his first POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League victory, the Keith Kunz Motorsports, Craftsman, Bullet/Toyota Racing No. 9 is ready to take on Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, IL.

Kaylee Bryson, the lone female in the KKM stable sports the Keith Kunz Motorsports, JBL, Bullet/Toyota No. 71 entry for the Gold Crown Nationals. A native of Muskogee, Oklahoma, she too moved up from the micro sprint ranks and has quickly begun working on her skill set and expanding her knowledge into the midget racing world. With her career best finish with the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League at Humboldt Speedway this past July. Bryson seems to be a good fit to the team and awaits her time in victory lane.

Bryant Wiedeman, the Colby, Kansas. native is set to make his second debut behind the wheel of a Keith Kunz-Curb-Agajanian Motorsports Midget. Well known on the POWRi Micro side, Wiedeman has had a lot of success at a young age. Wiedeman will be piloting the Bullet/Toyota No. 71 for the upcoming Gold Crown Nationals at Tri-City Speedway.

Rounding out the team of Keith Kunz Motorsports young guns attending the Gold Crown Nationals is Brenham Crouch of Lubbock, TX. Crouch who is also coming from the micro ranks, at only 14 years old has gotten his feet wet behind a KKM midget for the majority of this year. Crouch along with the six others are ready to kick off the action-packed weekend to come October 2&3 at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, IL.
