POWRi West is ready to take on I-44 Riverside Speedway

Belleville, IL. (08/17/2020) The POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League fires back off this weekend with a stand-alone show at I-44 Riverside Speedway. The action kicks off on Saturday, August 22 with a stop at I-44 Riverside Speedway in Oklahoma City, OK.

Andrew Felker of Carl Junction, MO has had nothing but a dominating year with the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League. Piloting the Chad Shields Racing, MelMark Pipe & Supply, Ripper/Fontana No. 44S, Felker has the points lead and is grabbing full control of the championship chase. The 2019 POWRi West Midget champion currently holds a 1090- point lead on the strength of one victory and five top five finishes.

Chasing Felker in the points entering this weekend is Chance Morton of Coweta, OK. (-1090) Jake Neuman of New Berlin, IL. (-1210) Trey Gropp of Lincoln, NE. (-1580) Kade Morton of Coweta, OK. (-1700)

Saturdays appearance at I-44 Riverside Speedway will mark the fifth visit to the track in Oklahoma City, OK. With the most recent winner at I-44 being Andrew Felker, the points battle could get really interesting.

Saturday, August 22 event information: Pits will be open at 4:30 pm with driver’s meeting scheduled for 5:45 pm. Wheel Pack Begins at 6 pm with hot-laps and racing action to follow.
