Kreisel wins LOS Next is Back Home to I-35 Speedway for the POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints

Belleville, IL. (08/11/2020) The POWRi Lucas Oil Midwest Lightning Sprints would make their final appearance at Lake Ozark Speedway for the 2020 season on Saturday, August 8th with thrilling on-track performances. Special thanks to Tim Trimble and the LOS crew for having the POWRi MLS to their premier racing facility this season. With high-flying lightning sprinters tackling the smooth and ultra-racy one-third-mile speedway, the familiar face of Stanley Kreisel #18 would park his hot-rod in victory lane for the fifth time in 2020.

Ken Billings #85 and Kenny Bowers #49b would earn the early advantages in the evening’s event by both drivers winning their heat races. After a roll of the dice would reveal a two-row invert series Point-Leader Stanley Kreisel #18, and previous-event winner Tom Brown #b20 would lead the pack off the front row to the launch of the initial start. With green flag action underway, Kreisel and Brown would take off battling for the lead for the entire race. Kreisel would manage to regain his winning ways by holding off Brown at every encounter, grabbing the feature victory and fifth win of the season for Stanley.

Tom Brown would be in the mix for the full feature, placing second in a highly contested battle. Mark Billings #51 and his heat race-winning father Ken Billings #85 would highlight their own sort-of family tradition by racing side by side for the final podium position with Mark Billings gaining the slight advantage to place third leaving Ken Billings to finish fourth. Chase Fischer #22 would have his work cut out for him, having to start deep in the field at thirteenth. Fischer would race his way to the front, gaining the hard charger award in the process to place fifth.

The POWRi Lucas Oil Midwest Lightning Sprints will next see racing competition on Saturday, August 22nd at I-35 Speedway in Winston, MO. Pits open at 4 pm with driver’s registration from 4:30-6 pm. Hot Laps will start the night’s racing program beginning at 6:30 pm with heats and feature racing action to follow.
