Honor Speedway to Host POWRi Lucas Oil Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprints

Belleville, IL. (07/13/2020) Continuing an exciting season of close Lightning Sprint competition the POWRi Lucas Oil Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprints will next visit Honor Speedway in Pueblo, CO on Saturday, July 18th, this time leaving the wings on for more downforce and speed in their seventh event of the year.

Will the heavy foot of series front-runner Johnny Boos go back to the winning ways of his season start, or will previous race winner Dakota Dillin try to carry momentum into Honor Speedway Saturday? So far in 2020, the POWRi RMLSA have completed six races with Boos parking his hot-rod in victory lane in four of the races.

Pit gates on Saturday, July 18th at Honor Speedway will open at 3 pm with driver’s registration between 4-6 pm. Hot-Laps begin at 6:30 with the racing program to follow.

As for the Friday, July 3rd event, ten competitors would make the trip to Phillips County Raceway in Holyoke, Colorado racing for the RMLSA. Heat races were won by #29 Dalton Webb and #7 Josh Flood. The feature race was won by #39x Dakota Dillin followed by #24B Johnny Boos, #26. Chris Crowder #9F Andy Flood, #13 Josiah King, #33 Gale Ingram, #10 Ken Brown, #29 Dalton Webb, #7 Josh Flood and #57 Brady Balderson. Saturday’s part two of the doubleheader was rained out following the heat races.
