Belleville, IL. (05/31/2020) Outstanding racing action was front-and-center Sunday Night at Port City Raceway for the final night of the 7th Annual Turnpike Challenge with 41 POWRi Engler Machine and Tool 600cc Outlaw Micro Sprint League drivers checking into the pits. Using veteran skills and perfect lap-traffic timing, Harley Hollan would notch another win onto his long list of feature victories.
From earning a high point qualifying award and starting on the pole of the feature Harley Hollan #14H would have his hot-rod fine-tuned and running to perfection as he paced the field to green flag conditions. Hollan and outside row-one companion Jake Hagopian #88x would put on a spectacle of driving talents battling within inches for the lead. Hagopian would appear to be at the top of the class until lap traffic would come into play. With Hagopian pinned behind a group of back running car Harley would pounce, grabbing the first-place position and on to the win. Hagopian would stay close finishing second as late-race restarts would help Brady Bacon #21H move through the field to place third. Riley Goodno #11 would also be among the front-runners the whole night placing fourth in the feature with #2 Chase Porter quickly making a name in the POWRi circuit, rounding out the top five.
