Preparations Continue for the 2020 POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League Season

Belleville, IL. (2/28/2020) Capitalizing off the successes of previous seasons the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League aims to not only expand in 2020 but continue to serve the drivers while thrilling the fans with captivating superiority of wheelman-ship.

Tripling the point fund in three years POWRi will again offer a point’s championship to registered POWRi members with over a total of $15,000 on the line: 1. $3,500.00, 2. $2,500.00, 3.$1,500.00, 4. $1,250.00, 5. $1,150.00, 6. $1,050.00, 7.$1,000.00, 8. $1,000.00, 9. $1,000.00, 10.$1,000.00

Listening to car-owners and drivers alike, POWRi WAR officials would gather input from the off-season as many of the traditions and rule packaging will stay similar to previous competitive seasons. With the primary examples of rule-alterations coming in the form of dropping the “94 inch rule” as well as the addition of the tire compound ‘H-20’ now deemed acceptable to race on the Right Rear.

Additionally, the number of competitors qualifying for a feature will also see changes in 2020 POWRi WAR racing. Twenty-Two drivers are now able to start the main feature, with the possibility of more able to take the green after the Provisionals are determined. Drivers seeking Provisionals for events must be POWRi members while attaining a Top 20 in point’s position going into the occurrence to qualify. Eligible POWRi WAR drivers are offered up to three Provisionals per year, with both the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League and the POWRi Iowa Sprint Car League each receiving a Provisional starting spot at co-sanctioned events

The highly anticipated race season speeds into existence Saturday, April 11th at Valley Speedway with the newly developed POWRi TV broadcasting several races live from the tracks as well as offering on-demand action also. Returning to racing in spectacular fashion will see I-70 Speedway in Odessa, Missouri serve as host on Saturday, May 30th as the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars and the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League rolls into town. As a support class for the WoO feature event, I-70 Speedway officials have established that WAR will be restricted to only accepting the Top 24 in points to this non-points event. In the case that the Top 24 cannot accept the invitation WAR officials will continue down the point’s standings until a full field of 24 competitors is confirmed.

Race fans can tune in to POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League competitions with POWRi TV, a one-of-a-kind LIVE pay-per-view to broadcast on various nights throughout the POWRi season. POWRi TV will begin at the Turnpike Challenge, March 26-29, continuing throughout the season covering everything from quarter Midgets to full-size Sprint Cars, and all the Leagues in-between.
