SHERRELL SCORES CREEK COUNTY TRIUMPH

SAPULPA, OKLA. (July 26, 2019) – Matt Sherrell of Owasso, Okla. was the top dog on Friday night at Creek County Speedway, claiming his first POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League victory of the 2019 season on night one of the Oklahoma Midget Nationals.

A pair of Andrew’s added heat race wins over the 18-car field to start the night as Andrew Deal of Caney, Kans. topped Smith Titanium heat one and Andrew Felker of Carl Junction, Mo. won Keizer Wheels heat two. Earning high point man honors on the strength of a sixth-to-third bid, Sherrell rolled a zero inversion and kept his No. 10J on the pole position.

Winning the 25-lapper from the pole, Sherrell was chased to the line by Hank Davis of Sand Springs, Okla. in second-place aboard his RuJo No. 42. POWRi West points leader, Andrew Felker, rounded out the podium in his Chad Shields Racing, MelMark Pipe & Supply No. 44S.

Closing out the top ten on Friday at Creek County was Cody Brewer in fourth, Chance Morton in fifth, Pierce Urbanosky in sixth, Kade Morton in sixth, Kade Morton in seventh, Doug McCune in eighth, Kurt Stellhorn in ninth and Andrew Deal in tenth.

The POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League hits the track again tonight Saturday, July 27 with a trip down the turnpike to I-44 Riverside Speedway in Oklahoma City, Okla.
