MILLER MAKES IT A VALLEY CLEAN SWEEP WITH POWRI MICROS

GRAIN VALLEY, MO. (July 13, 2019) – Coming out on top of an epic race-long battle with Frank Galusha on Saturday night, Joe B. Miller of Millersville, Mo. completed a clean sweep of the weekend at Valley Speedway by winning his 36th-career POWRi Engler Machine & Tool Outlaw Micro League feature.

Earning Bell Racing HQ High Point Man honors with an eighth-to-first heat race, Miller started from the pole position of the 20-lap feature and quickly shot his No. 51B into the lead. However, third-starter Frank Galusha was immediately there to challenge him and cleared a slider to take the top spot away on lap two.

Although a string of cautions hampered the opening half, Galusha and Miller kept their battle for the lead strong, consistently going back and forth as they swapped command of the lead.

While Galusha officially led laps 2-14, Miller was hounding the No. 12 throughout the 13-lap run, never letting the Lincoln, Neb. Native stray too far. On the fifteenth circuit, Miller’s final and most successful bid against Galusha saw him reclaim the top spot with a turn three slider.

From there, Miller slowly snuck away to claim his 36th-career POWRi Engler Machine & Tool Outlaw Micro League victory. Following him to the line was Gunner Ramey in second-from-tenth, Frank Galusha in third, Harley Hollan in fourth and Jackson Frisbie in fifth.

The POWRi Engler Machine & Tool Outlaw Micros will take a month off and return to action on Saturday, August 17 at Macon Speedway in Macon, Illinois.
