Grain Valley: Wesley Smith was once again the class of the field at Valley Speedway in POWRi Valley Outlaw Midgets Friday night. The first race of 2019 for the series was Smith’s 17th victory in the KC Metro Midgets since 2015, and followed his victory last week at Valley in the POWRi Valley Sprints driving the Helm #12.
Under the Friday night lights of Valley Speedway Smith would take the first heat of the evening as well driving the WSR Racing #44. And in the feature would hold of Luke Howard driving the new Hyper Midget of Chad Shields. 2018 series runner up AJ Gilbert would come home in 3rd driving the Renner Wraps #2, while Brad Wyatt and Tony Hudlin rounded out the top 5.
The POWRi Valley Midgets will return to action at Valley on April 26th, exactly one week before the Triple Header featuring the POWRi National, West, and Valley Midgets On May 3rd, at the Grain Valley Oval.
