Bryson Takes Career First POWRi Micro Victory

Bryson Takes Career First POWRi Micro Victory

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – In what was a dominating performance with the POWRi Engler Machine & Tool 600cc Outlaw Micro League, Kaylee Bryson immediately took the field to task and led all 20 laps in route to her first career victory with the league. Bryson’s victory adds her to a short list of female POWRi victors, placing her as the fourth female to accomplish the task.

At the drop of the green flag, Bryson jumped out front over Daison Pursley. Shortly thereafter, Brady Bacon moved into the third position while Pursley gave chase to Bryson. Enduring a handful of cautions and one red flag, Bryson continuously navigated traffic and each restart like a veteran.

After Bacon moved into the second position, she was able to put together enough perfect laps that Bacon was unable to seriously challenge for the lead. As the laps wound down, Daison Pursley took third with Gage Robb in fourth. Gunner Ramey finished in fifth.

“Around the middle of the race, I heard the car behind me running the top in three and four,” commented Kaylee Bryson. “This win means a lot. I’m just here to race and I want to beat everyone and prove a point. I want to thank Sawyer Chassis, my team, Chad Bell, Randy Bell, Mike Ross, and Jan Ross and everyone at Sawyer Chassis.”

“We had to start a little further back tonight and the track was quite a bit faster so that made it a lot harder to pass,” said Brady Bacon. “We got to her and waited on her to make a mistake and she never did, so she earned the win. She got a good starting spot, didn’t make any mistakes, and she had a fast car.”

“We were fast all night,” stated Daison Pursley. “I can’t thank Keith and Pete on the midget side, and my mom and dad on the micro side, enough.”
