Colorado’s premier dirt tracks will become coliseums in the 2019 season as the raging beasts of the POWRi Warrior Sprint Car Series are unleashed. Joe Bellm, president of Blood, Sweat & Tears Promotions, is spearheading the new series’ ventures into Colorado. “Wingless sprint cars have provided some of the best racing since the beginning of time,” he said of the POWRi machines. “They’re fast and they bring exceptional competition.”

That competition will hit the track for a 12-race schedule around three Coloradan ovals. El Paso County Raceway in Calhan will serve as the league’s home track for the duration of the inaugural campaign, and the circuit will include races at I-76 Speedway in Fort Morgan and Philips County Raceway of Holyoke.

To spark interest and promote competition in the POWRi Series, BST Promotions has teamed up with Hathaway Performance and Allstar Performance. A $100 product certificate, compliments of Allstar Performance, will be handed out at each event to the “Hard Charger” as a reward. In addition, Hathaway Performance will present each heat race winner with a $25 product certificate.

“We’re thrilled to have Hathaway Performance and Allstar Performance on board,” Bellm said. “To have nationwide recognition … is a great addition to our league.”

POWRi’s “wingless warriors,” as they’ve come to be known, represent an obsession with speed, power and victory. The division has grown exponentially around the country and has garnered interest as an outlet for racers of every taste. “The ability to run multiple options of motors has allowed numerous people to get back into racing,” Bellm said.

BST Promotions has plans to expand the POWRi Warrior Sprint Car Series beyond its three-track circuit in Colorado and looks forward to trips to other racing venues in neighboring states in 2020. A full schedule for the POWRi Warrior Sprint Car Series can be found on bstpromotions.com.
