Howell’s Second Comes at Jacksonville

Howell’s Second Comes at Jacksonville

Jacksonville, IL – Jordan Howell of Columbia, Missouri snagged his second-career POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro League victory. Howell’s second win comes at Jacksonville Speedway, and follows his break-through victory at Macon Speedway back on August 18th.

By virtue of passing points through heat races, Howell earned the pole position and shared the front row with Andrew Peters. At the drop of the green flag, Howell powered into the early lead with Peters and Austin Schaeffer in tow. Getting past Peters, Schaeffer moved into second, while Joe B. Miller closed on Peters for third and quickly took the position.

Approaching the five-to-go mark, Schaeffer and the field began to close the gap, while Miller and Jeremy Camp battled for third and fourth. As the lap wound down, Schaeffer was all over Howell, even pulling to his outside off turn two, but was never able to complete the pass. Joe B. Miller took third, with Jeremy Camp in fourth. Ayrton Gennetten completed the top five.
