KOKOMO CANCELLED FOR SUNDAY; WAR WILDCARD EYES HAUBSTADT NEXT

KOKOMO, IN (October 7, 2018) - Due to more overnight rain, officials have made the call to cancel the #GYATKExtravaganza for the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Wildcard League and the All-Star Circuit of Champions which was slated to run tonight, Sunday, October 7th. After a torrential downpour at 5:00 PM yesterday, the field of 44 WAR Wildcard Sprints was sent home with the rain date scheduled for today. However, Mother Nature's wrath proved too strong as the rains turned the pit area and racing surface at Kokomo into a muddy mess, forcing officials to make the unfortunate call.

For those that kept their transponders, we kindly request that you mail them back to either Kokomo Speedway at 802 Academy St. Valparaiso, Indiana 46383 or the WAR Sprint League office at 7912 Windham Lake Way Indianapolis, Indiana 46214. If you paid to draw and would like your money back, please email bprowden@gmail.com to retrieve your draw payment.

An official announcement on the Bell Racing USA Triple Crown Challenge which has given Kyle Cummins a chance at $20,000, will be released as soon as league officials can confirm the final decision.

The WAR Wildcard League now moves onto the final event of the 2018 campaign with a trip to Haubstadt, Indiana's Tri-State Speedway. Co-sanctioned alongside the Midwest Sprint Car Series (MSCS), the "Harvest Cup" at Haubstadt pays out $5,000 to win next Saturday, October 13th.
