Macon, IL – Defending POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro League Champion Joe B. Miller notched another victory beside his name in the POWRi record books by taking the win at Macon Speedway in the Midwest Season Opener finale. Miller’s win is the 32nd of his career, and the driver out of Millersville, Missouri currently leads the all-time win list with the POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro League.
Miller immediately took command at the start of the feature, overcoming pole-sitter Trevin Littleton on the opening lap with Harley Hollan in tow. Littleton’s high point honor was the first of his career.
Ripping the tall curb of the high-banked Macon Speedway, Miller quickly found lapped traffic and navigated through the field on the way to the checkered. Harley Hollan took second, while Jordan Howell took third, a career-best. Eli Harris took fourth and Trevin Littleton took fifth, career-bests for both drivers.
“It was a good run,” said Joe B. Miller. “I’ve got to thank Lance and Derek. They worked their butt off on this thing. Last night we changed motors in the middle of the night and we got it going and went through the whole car today so I’ve got to thank them. I’ve got to thank God, I’ve been very blessed.”
“We haven’t had much luck here in the past, so I think we’re starting to figure it out a little bit,” stated Harley Hollan. “We still have a long way to go to catch Joe B, but we had a good night.”
“I was pretty excited about how we ran,” commented Jordan Howell. “I’ve never been to many of these Illinois tracks and this was our first time here at Macon and I gave her all she had for the motor I had. I had a blast. It was really fast and I’m definitely looking forward to coming back.”
