INDIANAPOLIS, IN (May 11, 2018) - The long awaited return of WAR Sprint Cars to Double X Speedway is over. The POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League and the Double X Speedway have reached an agreement to partner and add WAR to the "Tribute to Jesse" special event on Sunday, May 27th.
The California, Missouri based event has featured the ASCS Warrior Region Sprints Cars for some time, and the addition of the Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League was something Jesse's Father, Jack Hockett consistently promoted to make happen. "This is something I know Jack has been working towards for quite a while, we all know how much Jesse loved both wing and non wing cars and how much he loved Double X," said League Director Casey Shuman, "This has always been a really special event, and I am proud to bring our teams and families in to be a part of it."
The last visit to Double X Speedway for the WAR Sprint Cars dates back to June of 2013 that saw Chris Parkinson take the victory.
The POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprints will also be in action Saturday, May 26th at Lake Ozarks Speedway.
