WHEATLAND, MO (May 5, 2018) - Mitchell Moore scored his seventh POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League victory Saturday night at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri over Riley Kreisel and Korey Weyant. Moore's last WAR win was in 2014. He also is a past WAR Champion from 2013.
Moore started on the pole of the 25 lap feature after LRB Inc. High Point Man, Korey Weyant, pulled a 6 for the redraw to invert the top 6 in passing points. Moore would grab the lead from the drop of the green flag while the competition behind him heated up. Kreisel made a late race run to challenge for the lead on the final lap, he threw the slider in turns 3 and 4, but Moore would best the 38 car field field and earn the victory.
The POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprints will be back in action Saturday, May 26 at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Missouri. The WAR Wildcard Sprints will kick off their season Saturday, May 12 at Fayette County Speedway in Brownstown, Illinois.
