Officials with the Lucas Oil POWRi West series, presented by Executive Concrete Solutions, would like to welcome back Max Papis Innovations for the 2018 race season. TWO years ago, MPI came on board to become the official steering wheel of POWRi West and has continued to support the series. MPI has provided steering wheels and gift certificates which will be presented to competitors at the end of the season. POWRi West would like to thank MPI for their continued support in building our grass roots series.
All MPI steering wheels are designed and engineered in the USA and built in Italy using the latest steering wheel technology and state of the art materials. MPI prides itself on several wins and championships in NASCAR CUP, Xfinity, Truck, Late Models, Sprint Cars, Dirt Modifieds, Off Road, UTV, Legends and local races. MPI was founded in 2009 by Max Papis and Tatiana Fittipaldi Papis, in Mooresville, NC.
At MPI, every aspect of construction and safety is taken in the most accurate and dedicated way possible. Before becoming an MPI product, all steering wheel structures need to pass internal quality control tests. Amongst the many is a torque structural steering wheel test that is considered one of the most severe on the "road car" market. Another is a stress test to see what our steering wheel does when load is applied to it. This simulates what happens when you keep your hands on the steering wheel during a severe impact. Just a couple of examples of how the MPI technology works and how safety and construction R&D is applied to all MPI products.
