Las Cruces, NM (August 5, 2017) - Don Grable picked up his second POWRi Lucas Oil WAR 305 Winged Sprint feature win of the season Saturday night at the Southern New Mexico Speedway in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Wes Wofford, Royal Jones, Lorne Wofford, and CJ Hulsey rounded out the top five. L.Wofford was the Dash winner for the evening.
The Southern New Mexico Speedway surface was prime after a week full of rainfall creating multiple groove racing plus a nice cushion to lean on. Grable was able to get by L.Wofford on the bottom groove of the racetrack and would go on to score the win. Jones was the Hard Charger coming from the fourteenth starting position. "If I had three more laps, I could have caught the leaders and had a shot to win," said Royal Jones in his post race interview.
The POWRi Lucas Oil WAR 305 Sprint League is back in action Saturday, August 19 at Southern New Mexico Speedway in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Following up after that, they prepare for a two day weekend at the Aztec Speedway in Aztec, New Mexico Friday and Saturday, September 1-2.
