ALEX BELL WINS IN OUTLAW MIDGET

West Haven, VT (June 11, 2017) - Alex Bell picked up his first trophy of 2017 winning the POWRi Lucas Oil Outlaw Midget feature event Sunday, June 11 at Devil's Bowl Speedway in Fair Haven, VT. Rick Stone, Tyler Rivard, DJ Moniz and Nate Furman rounded out the top five.

After the field took the green flag, Bell held on to the lead for the first few laps until the caution came out. After the restart, Bell continued to hold off charging Rivard and Lou Torres until lap 5 where Rivard made his move to take over the lead.

On lap 9 another caution slowed the field. The car of Andy Barrows would lose breaks entering turn one on the restart and hit leader Tyler Rivard causing him to spin. Barrow then hit the wall and ended up upside down. Both drivers were unhurt.

Rivard would now have to restart from the tail end of the field and Bell would assume the lead. After the final restart, Tyler Rivard was elbows up picking off cars. He made his way back to the front, ultimately ending up third. When the checkered flag flew, Alex Bell would take his first POWRi Lucas Oil Outlaw Midget League victory.

The POWRi Lucas Oil Outlaw Midgets will be back in action Sunday, June 25 at Glenridge Motorsports Park in Fultonville, New York.
