Beason Breaks Through For First POWRi West Win

Beason Breaks Through For First POWRi West Win

August 17, 2016 Tulsa, OK; 23 drivers signed in for competition on the opening night of the Summer Showdown at Lawton Speedway.

Three 8 lap heat races would be won by R.J. Johnson, Michelle Decker, and Johnathan Beason.

Michelle Decker would be the nights Integrity Customs High Point driver of the night and after a roll of the dice Michelle would be moved the the 6th starting position.

After the invert Ryan Hall and Frank Flud would lead the field to green for the nights 25 lap main event presented by Max Papis Innovations . At the drop of the green Flud would jump out to an early lead with team mate Johnathan Beason in tow. Beason would battle side by side with Flud for a few laps before he would get a run and take over the lead.

The battle was just brewing in the top 5, as RJ Johnson, and Michelle Decker began pressuring Flud. As the leaders began catching lap traffic, the fans got their money's worth as Decker battled past Johnson for the 3rd spot, and would make an attempt to challenge Flud. In the end Beason would be your winner with Flud, Decker, Johnson, and Matt Sherrell rounding out the top 5.
