Bruns Snags the WIN

Bruns Snags the WIN

Mitchell Davis and Patrick Bruns started alongside one another in the 20-lap POWRi/Illini D-II Midget presented by Nutech Seed A-Main. Davis pulled out to the early lead but it was short lived as division frontrunner, Patrick Bruns, took the spot on lap three. Bruns pulled out to a healthy advantage as Davis settled into second with a big gap over third. Track point leader, Tyler Vantoll, moved from fifth to third but never had a caution to help him close the gap on the top two.

As the checkered waved, Bruns claimed his fourth Lincoln feature win of the season, while Davis, Vantoll, Austin Archdale, and Johnny Heydenreich finished off the top five. Chett Gehrke, who accepted the Conklin Agrovantage challenge and started at the tail, came through the pack to get sixth but a needed yellow never came to get closer to the $900 bonus.
