Belleville, IL. (5/19/26) - Officials with the POWRi Honest Abe Roofing 410 Outlaw Sprint League and Electric City Speedway have announced the postponement of the scheduled event on Friday, May 22, after significant area rainfall and continued unfavorable weather forecasts have left the facility unable to host competition. With the amount of rain already received at the track and additional precipitation expected, officials determined this was the best decision for all involved, as the facility grounds have taken on too much water to properly prepare for racing conditions and ensure a quality experience for teams and fans.
Following substantial rainfall throughout the week, Electric City Speedway has received six inches of rain since Monday morning, with more expected through Thursday and Friday. Current flood warnings in the area, combined with already saturated grounds at both the racing surface and facility parking, have created conditions unsuitable for race operations.
The postponed event will be rescheduled at a later date, with Electric City Speedway and POWRi officials currently working together to determine an appropriate makeup date. Additional details regarding the rescheduled event will be released once finalized.
