Belleville, IL. (5/14/26) - After a strong season opener in Texas, the POWRi Honest Abe Roofing 410 Outlaw Sprint League heads to Missouri for a two-night swing. Racing starts Friday, May 15 at the high banks of US 36 Raceway for the Highbanks Shootout, then moves to Lucas Oil Speedway on Saturday, May 16 to kick off the Road to the Hockett.
With one race in the books, the points battle is already starting to take shape. Early contenders have shown speed, but a deep field is ready to mix things up heading into Missouri.
Fisher Fast Early; Crawley on the Move; Milan & McCutcheon in the Mix
Colton Fisher turned heads at Big O Speedway with a second-place finish to open the season. His heat race move—already being talked about as one of the best of the year—put him right in the spotlight and near the top of the standings.
Landon Crawley comes into the weekend as the current Pass Master leader (+8). After winning the B-Feature in Texas, Crawley drove forward in the main event and showed he can get to the front from anywhere.
Scotty Milan and Ryder McCutcheon are two drivers to keep an eye on this weekend. Milan returns to Wheatland as the defending winner, while McCutcheon’s aggressive style fits well at both tracks. Both could be right in the mix.
Seat Changes & New Faces
There will be a few changes in the pit area this weekend:
Kameron Key moves into the McGarry ride after stepping away from Kiwi Motorsports.
Dylan Bloomfield takes over the Kiwi Motorsports seat, making the trip from California.
Kaleb Johnson is set to make his league debut with Heidbreder Racing.
Cole Vanderheiden joins the 410 ranks this weekend in the Bowers-owned No. 81.
Show-Me Standouts vs The Field
A strong group of drivers is expected to battle for the $5,000 win each night, including Miles Paulus, Xavier Doney, Jack Potter, Joe B. Miller, Gage Montgomery, Natalie Doney, and three-time champion Ayrton Gennetten.
Out-of-state drivers will also be in the mix. The “Illinois Intruders” include John Barnard, Jake Neuman, and Cory Bruns. The “Texas group” features Sam Hafertepe Jr., Preston Perlmutter, Rodney Huband, and Marcus Thomas. From Oklahoma, drivers like Blake Hahn, Roger Crockett, Seth Bergman, and Matt Covington will be ones to watch.
