Belleville, IL. (4/26/26) Beginning ‘Land of Lincoln’ battles in the 2026 season, the first sanctioned seasonal event in the POWRi Illinois Midget Racing Association would find Chet Gehrke earning the feature win to notch his inaugural career series victory.
Starting the night of POWRi-sanctioned on-track battles, IMRA would find Chet Gehrke notch the heat racing win as well as gain the pole-starting grid for the feature event after advancing from fourth to pick up the early on-track advantages.
Green flag feature racing would find Chet Gehrke clinching the front of the field from starting pole position as the checkers waved after leading thirteen laps in the fifteen-lap feature to earn the Macon Speedway feature event as third-starter Daltyn England placed a solid runner-up.
Staying consistently close to the leaders, Logan Manson would finish third from starting fourth as seventh-starting Dominic Bruns wheeled his way to place fourth, with Carl Peterson IV rounding out the top five feature finishers for the POWRi Illinois Midget Racing Association at Macon Speedway.
