Belleville, IL (11/10/25) Wrapping up a season defined by determination and on-track excellence, Dayton Shelton has been officially crowned the 2025 POWRi Avanti Windows & Doors Southwest Ecotec Midget Series Champion, capping a campaign filled with fierce competition and breakthrough performances.
Piloting the No. 2 Shelton Motorsports entry throughout the Southwest-based tour, Shelton — of Prescott, Arizona — pieced together a stellar season that included four feature victories, 15 top-five finishes, and 16 top-ten runs, showcasing both adaptability and consistency across 17 series events.
As POWRi looks ahead to the 2026 campaign, the organization celebrates a successful year of Southwest Ecotec Midget competition and extends congratulations to Dayton Shelton and the entire crew for their outstanding season-long effort. Grant Schaadt also earned recognition as the 2025 Rookie of the Year following an impressive debut campaign.
