Belleville, IL. (10/20/25) Capping a season that showcased stamina, speed, and steadiness, Dominic Bruns, of Champaign, Illinois, has been crowned the 2025 POWRi Illinois Midget Racing Association (IMRA) Champion, banking four feature wins along with a slew of top-ten finishes to secure the title.
Setting the standard over the course of the season-long campaign, Bruns competed in fourteen series events, posting a quartet of victories, eleven top-five finishes, and a top-ten result in every event on his route to the crown.
Despite strong efforts from Alex Midkiff, Shane Morgan, Tony Harter, and James Picardi, who all placed inside the top five of the seasonal standings, Bruns never relinquished control of the points lead.
With the 2025 IMRA championship now in hand, Bruns adds his name to an exclusive list of champions within POWRi’s storied division.
