Riley Kreisel Returns to Winning on Night One of Hockett/McMillin with POWRi WAR/MWRA at Lucas Oil Speedway

Riley Kreisel Returns to Winning on Night One of Hockett/McMillin with POWRi WAR/MWRA at Lucas Oil Speedway

Wheatland, MO. (9/19/25) Riley Kreisel would return triumphantly to WAR ranks in Night One of the 15th Annual Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial at Lucas Oil Speedway featuring the Wholesale Batteries POWRi WAR/MWRA Challenge Series, running in conjunction with the POWRi Elite Non-Wing Sprint Series presented by Dirt X Ind., to notch his twelfth career feature victory by leading the final seven laps on the way to the checkers.

Night One with POWRi WAR/MWRA/Elite would find thirty-three talented traditional sprinters witnessing Kobe Simpson set the quickest qualifying hot-lap time of 14.953-second lap as Kobe Simpson, Jesse Vermillion, Riley Kreisel, and Kyle Shipley each earned heat racing victories with Brad Wyatt taking semi-feature win.

Kick-starting the initial green flag start with high-point qualifier Kobe Simpson and Ricky Lewis lined up in the front row as Kobe Simpson would gain the lead on the opening lap, with Ricky Lewis blasting into the top spot on lap two.
Holding the front of the field for seventeen laps, Ricky Lewis would protect the lead over mid-race restart with Riley Kreisel battling every step of the way. Kreisel would use a mid-to-high line to grab the preferred position with Lewis keeping pace.

Flying out front, Riley Kreisel would emerge victorious with the POWRi WAR/MWRA to notch his first yearly league victory. Staying in the hunt all night, ninth-starting JJ Yeley would finish runner-up as Jack Wagner completed the final podium placements from starting eleventh.

“This is unreal, we usually never have speed at this place late in the season. It’s phenomenal to drive this car to victory at this event,” said an elated Riley Kreisel in the Lucas Oil Speedway victory lane. Adding “I knew I had to take advantage of the restart with the car coming to me as the laps went by, I was able to play the cards right, and it feels great to get this win.”

Challenging closely behind would find Kyle Shipley finish fourth as Wesley Smith advanced nine spots to round out the top five finishers for the Wholesale Batteries Inc. POWRi WAR/MWRA Challenge Series, running in conjunction with the POWRi Elite Non-Wing Sprint Series presented by Dirt X Ind., at Lucas Oil Speedway in Night One of the 15th Annual Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial event.
