Belleville, IL. (9/8/25) Showcasing speed and consistency throughout the season, Jacob Denney has officially been crowned the 2025 POWRi–Xtreme Challenge Series Champion, rising to the top of the 10-race series through a steady mix of feature wins, podiums, and points-earning finishes.
Driving for Keith Kunz Motorsports, Denney turned heads all season by delivering in high-stakes moments, highlighted by six POWRi National Midget League victories in 2025. The Ohio native has now brought his career league total to nine, while dominating the Challenge Series competition—including finishing inside the top five in all but one of the season’s events.
“I think every night is a challenge of its own,” Jacob Denney stated. “Every night is a little bit different. You’re racing some of the best Midget drivers in the country, so it never gets easier. I think that’s the thing—not to get complacent, just keep pushing forward and trying to find more to stay on top.”
Securing the championship by more than 100 points, Denney, of Gallaway, Ohio, clinched the title over 2023 POWRi National Midget League Champion and three-time 2025 winner Karter Sarff, who finished second in the standings. First-time series feature winner Kameron Key claimed third, with Gavin Miller and Chase McDermand rounding out the top five in the 2025 POWRi–Xtreme Outlaw Challenge Series.
Launched as a joint venture between the POWRi National Midget League and the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series presented by Toyota, the Challenge Series features a select schedule of events contested under a dedicated championship points fund. In 2025, drivers battled through a 10-race campaign, with the top five in the standings splitting a $5,000 purse—and $2,500 awarded to the champion.
With the Challenge Series complete, attention now shifts to the final stretch of the POWRi National Midget League season at Port City Raceway on October 9–11, where Denney continues his pursuit of even greater honors as he leads the league’s National Points.
