Belleville, IL. (11/19/2024) Returning by popular demand for the 2025 racing season with a stacked slate of ten races, the POWRi National Midget League, in partnership with the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series, will once again offer a combined ‘Challenge Series’ with bonus winnings and additional incentives for competitors.
“We are thankful to continue the great working relationship with the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series and its officials,” stated Talin Turner, Series Director of POWRi Racing, adding, “Car counts continue to grow yearly, supporting both sanctioning bodies, which allow for larger purses and bonuses throughout the year.”
The 2025 co-sanctioned series begins with the first pair of seasonal events on April 11-12 at Farmer City Raceway, in Farmer City Illinois, running in support of the World of Outlaw Late Models Illini 100 then returns for a two-day stay at Coles County Speedway, in Mattoon Illinois, on May 30-31. Federated Auto Parts I-55 Raceway, in Pevely Missouri, hosts four events including June 20-21 with the World of Outlaw Late Models as well as the annual Ironman 55 weekend on August 1-2 with the World of Outlaw Sprints as the Challenge Series then visits Doe Run Raceway, in Doe Run Missouri, on Friday, September 5th before concluding at Highland Speedway, in Highland Illinois, on Saturday, September 6th.
Awarding a $2,500 check to the POWRi-Xtreme Challenge Series champion after the final event, the top five finishers in the separately kept points standings will continue to be awarded cash prizes for their season-long efforts. (1. $2,500, 2. $1,250, 3. $600, 4. $400, 5. $250).
