Belleville, IL. (10/14/24) Boosting excitement within divisional competitions, Performance Open Wheel Racing, Inc. (POWRi) is thrilled to announce its sanctioning of the Southern Sprint Car Association for the 2024 racing season and beyond. This partnership is poised to take the series to new heights, with POWRi bringing improved organization, increased media exposure, and expanded competitive opportunities to the emerging Southeastern-based 360-sprint car series.
"We wanted to bring a driver-friendly program to the Southeastern region with attractive purses, fair rules, and visiting different venues frequently," said Nik Andrade, Director of the Southern Sprint Car Association. "With other series only stopping off in the area a couple of times a year, the drivers and tracks have voiced for more options and I think everyone will like what we have to offer."
Opening with a limited schedule in 2024 with future expansions already in place for the 2025 season and beyond, the POWRi Southern Sprint Car Association will tentatively witness their opening weekend as early as November with a backup plan in place due to storm affected areas.
