John Carney II Triumphant with POWRi Texas Sprint Series at Texas Motor Speedway

Dallas, TX. (10/4/24) Contending with on-track support of the POWRi Fall Double Header presented by Start2Finish at Texas Motor Speedway, the newly sanctioned POWRi Texas Sprint Series would find a triumphant John Carney II claiming the first feature victory in thrilling twenty-lap action.

Starting the night off in style with thirty-one entries would see Maverick Elkins, Whit Gastineau, Steven Richardson, and Kevin Ramey earning heat race wins with Chance Cody attaining the semi-feature victory.

Flying into feature green flag racing would find second-starter John Carney II out-duel Kevin Ramey out of the first pair of corners as Carney would shoot to the preferred position with the field calculating for spots behind the speedy leader.

Earning his first career victory in the POWRi Texas Sprint Series, John Carney II would outrun pole-starter and runner-up placement Kevin Ramey to capture the hard-fought feature win. Quickly gaining from starting fourth, Maverick Elkins would clinch third as Whit Gastineau finished fourth from beginning the feature seventh with Steven Richardson rounding out the top-five finishers for the POWRi Texas Sprint Series feature event at Texas Motor Speedway on Night One of the POWRi Fall Double Header presented by Start2Finish.
